St Joseph's Catholic Primary Academy

We are Part of God's family; A unique gift. Faithful to God, United we excel.

We are proud to work with all the Catholic schools across our two local authority areas, particularly as the Trust grows and benefits from the expertise and knowledge that other schools joining in the future will bring.

Visit Us

Hello! I am very happy to welcome you to our website!

I am delighted to have been invited to join the school family of St Joseph’s as Headteacher from October 2022 to lead such a fantastic team of staff and children.

We want to work closely with our Parents and Carers, our partners on this journey, through their child’s primary phase and work hard to keep them updated and well-informed about their child and school life.

We serve the parishes of Sacred Heart & St Bernard's, Boothtown and St. Theresa's, Queensbury, and over the coming months, working closely with Fr Bob (Fr Robert Owens), we will endeavour to rekindle our links with the parish, local and wider communities.

St Joseph’s school is a place where all our children feel valued and loved and a place in which they can flourish. We believe that each child is unique and has the ability to succeed throughout their learning journey. Our staff team strive to bring out the best in each child and our broad, well-structured curriculum provides a wide range of opportunities and experiences to enable and empower them to realise their potential.

Our school community is diverse and enriched by the different faith backgrounds of our children and their families.

We hope our website gives you a 'taste' of what our school is like, but I know it is not the same as having a look around! We would welcome the opportunity to show you around our school so you can see for yourself why St Joseph’s is such a special place to be.

If you have any queries or would like to arrange a tour, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone on

With many kind regards,
